I'm Sherman Johnson. I'm a freelance commercial director / DP based in Miami and working throughout the US.
I started as a Director of Photography, and directing grew out of that. Telling stories with images is what I do.
Most of my career has been in commercials, and the intersection of the craft of filmmaking and the business of advertising has always been a lot of fun.
These days, I make commercials for brands like Ford, Spectrum, and State Farm, and most prolifically for Pollo Tropical, somewhere north of 30 campaigns.
